Deer Day with new activities and a warm community spirit mark a memorable celebration
Richmond Park School’s annual Deer House Day, celebrated beginning of October 2025, proved to be a wonderful success for the whole RPS community. The event, which featured several exciting new additions this year, was more vibrant than ever filled fresh energy, community spirit and even greater involvement from students, staff, and families.
Students and teachers from Deer House proudly wore blue polo shirts and T-shirts to mark the occasion.
For the first time, we introduced an afternoon Community Fair, replacing the usual break-time activities. This change brought the whole school together—from EYFS to Secondary—creating a lively and inclusive event where everyone could take part. The fair included a range of fun and engaging activities and culminated in the ever-popular bake sale, held outside the reception area.
The generosity of our families was incredible. Tables were filled with delicious cakes, biscuits and homemade desserts—each one thoughtfully labelled with ingredients so that everyone could enjoy them safely. We’re proud to share that the bake sale raised valuable funds for the Vipeika Foundation, supporting educational initiatives at RPS Nursery in Kenya—a cause that means a great deal to our community.
“This year’s Deer House Day was truly special,” shared a member of the school community. “It was wonderful to see so many students and parents coming together to celebrate, have fun and contribute to a meaningful cause.”
To everyone who donated, participated, helped organise, or simply joined us on the day: thank you. Your kindness, enthusiasm and support made this event a beautiful reminder of what makes Richmond Park School so unique.
“We’re deeply grateful for the enthusiasm and generosity shown by our community,” the spokesperson added. “Events like these remind us how powerful our shared values of cooperation, empathy and kindness truly are.”
