Como todos saben, en Richmond Park School hemos decidido optar por el IB para los cursos de Year 12 y 13, por considerarla la opci\u00f3n m\u00e1s apropiada de cara a la universidad y a la futura formaci\u00f3n de nuestros alumnos. En este Newsletter queremos demostrar brevemente c\u00f3mo el sistema educativo brit\u00e1nico en Primaria y Secundaria sienta las bases para la introducci\u00f3n de este modelo educativo en los dos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os previos a los estudios superiores.  <\/p>\n\n<p>El IB est\u00e1 basado en la idea de desarrollar \u00abindividuos con inquietudes, cultos y emp\u00e1ticos\u00bb, que vivir\u00e1n y har\u00e1n cu\u00e1nto est\u00e9 en sus manos para crear un mundo m\u00e1s tolerante. En el English National Curriculum se le da la misma importancia a la ense\u00f1anza acad\u00e9mica, al conocimiento profundo de uno mismo, a potenciar las habilidades de los ni\u00f1os, as\u00ed como al desarrollo integral tanto espiritual, como moral, cultural, mental y f\u00edsico de todos los alumnos. El objetivo clave es crear en el sentido m\u00e1s extenso, ciudadanos \u00edntegros y comprometidos. Queremos que nuestros alumnos piensen y sientan profundamente, usen sus conocimientos de manera constructiva, busquen soluciones y tomen una postura activa ante la realidad que les rodea. Estos son los atributos que queremos que desarrollen los alumnos de Richmond Park School a trav\u00e9s del English National Curriculum y de experiencias co-curriculares. Para nuestro colegio es fundamental que nuestros alumnos se desenvuelvan en un ambiente seguro, de respeto y apoyo, donde todos puedan mostrar lo mejor de si mismos. En Richmond Park School, el alumno ser\u00e1 el centro de su propio aprendizaje, interactuando constantemente con sus profesores y compa\u00f1eros.
